The Pussycat Dolls are back, but a lot has happened since we last covered them. In Part 2 of our PCD POP 101, we pick up right where we left off: the lawsuit between Nicole Scherzinger and founder Robin Antin, what all six members got up to during the legal fallout, and how Nicole quietly became a Tony Award-winning Broadway star in the middle of it all.
Then in March 2026, the Pussycat Dolls announced their return as a trio with Nicole, Ashley and Kimberly, new single "Club Song" and a 53-date global PCD Forever Tour. But Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton weren't invited. And not all of them found out before the public did.
We break down the full story: the court filings, the pay disparity, the blindsided members, the viral Today Show moment, and what it all means for one of the biggest girl groups of the 2000s.Join us on Patreon!: https://www.patreon.com/CCTVPOPS

00:00:00 --> 00:00:28 Don't bring your boyfriend to the club. Dolls. This is CCTV, the nonstop pop show where we provide our unfiltered, honest opinions on global pop music. So we did do our Pussycat Dolls Pop 101 episode a while back where we went very deep into the history, the music, the drama, the whole thing.
00:00:28 --> 00:00:56 But we did leave off at a very, very chaotic moment. The reunion tour in 2020 had been canceled. A lawsuit was filed. And we were not sure that we would ever see the Pussycat Dolls together again. Yes. And then we fast forward to 2026, current day. And a global reunion tour has been announced. And so much has happened in between. So it's time for part two to our Pop 101.
00:01:00 --> 00:01:17 All right, so let's talk about the lawsuit because it did not get resolved quickly. So, as a reminder, Robin Anton, the creator of the Pussycat Dolls, filed a lawsuit against lead member Nicole Scherzinger in Los Angeles Superior Court in September 2021.
00:01:17 --> 00:01:45 Robin alleged that in February 2019, Nicole had agreed in an MOU that she would receive 49% of the new business entity entitled PCD Worldwide in exchange for participating in a reunion tour of up to 45 shows. But then the tour got postponed due to COVID. And then, according to Robin, after this tour was rescheduled, Nicole refused to participate unless the terms were renegotiated.
00:01:45 --> 00:02:12 So Nicole allegedly demanded that her 49% be increased to 75% of PCD worldwide, plus complete creative control and final decision-making authority. So Robin's complaint used the word extortion literally in the filing and stated that because of Nicole's demands, tour dates could not be confirmed and Live Nation was now demanding the return of a $600 advance that they had provided for the tour.
00:02:13 --> 00:02:39 $600? It's crazy. You know what I will say about our old 101? Our social media editor was like editing some PCD stuff. And she's like, y'all would not get off of her neck. And then she's editing a cat's eye clip. And she's like, dang, you mentioned her again. I said, yeah. I mean, like. Nicole? Yeah, Nicole. Yeah. Honestly, you know, I will never say that she is not talented. She is talented.
00:02:39 --> 00:03:07 Yes, undeniably. Yeah, one of my favorite pop artists. Like, I watched her when she went on this random talent show where she was shooting bow and arrows because it was her. I kind of forgot the name of the show, but I remember her being on it. And she was competing against a man who was playing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. I was there. Okay? She is the talent, but she also doesn't exist without the machine. You know what I'm saying? Yes. I think that is the issue. Like, regardless of how we feel as human beings, there was a chicken.
00:03:07 --> 00:03:25 She is an egg. She's the golden egg, but she's still an egg. I think she's trying to take the position of chicken. And I think because there's so much tension between her and Robin, allegedly, or was, whatever, there was a lot of issues. Like, the chicken is trying to become theβ the egg is trying to become the chicken, and the egg is like, I want this. And the chicken's like, no!
00:03:25 --> 00:03:39 But, I mean, maybe she thinks that the chicken is incapable of making proper business decisions. It's not my, I don't know. But it's just tough, like, coming from an artist standpoint. And then, like, you are the star. You are the golden egg. We all say that.
00:03:39 --> 00:04:09 But it's just a little funky when you're trying to become Supreme Ruler of the chicken. The coop already has like an owner, you know? This analogy with the chicken is amazing. But it's a little funky. I can totally respect that. But if she does not have the capital or the finances or anything to kind of basically buy her out, then to ask for this and kind of like hold her, you know, like hold it above her head like, oh, I'm not going to perform unless you give me this. It's kind of funky if this is what happened.
00:04:09 --> 00:04:35 Right? Yes. It's a little funky. Yeah, I mean, we'll get to Nicole's response shortly. But I think just talking about what Robin is allegedly claiming here, I find the dynamic between Robin and Nicole just so interesting. Yeah. Like, they need each other. They would not have found the success that they had without each other. Yeah. But ego, I don't know if it's ego or ego.
00:04:35 --> 00:05:03 You know, I'm not sure what it is that kind of keeps getting in the way here. Money. And ego. Yeah, I guess both. But like Nicole already, I mean, 49% is quite a lot already. Yeah. And so demanding 75% plus full creative control and final decision-making authority. Like Robin, look, she's the creator. And, you know, she is who came up with the whole concept of...
00:05:04 --> 00:05:10 Yeah, she is the pussy cat doll. So like Nicole needs Robin too.
00:05:11 --> 00:05:36 Listen, Christina Applegate has more of a stake than Nicole. Shoot, even Johnny's death if you really want to, like, you know, like, go really go far back. But, like, Christina Applegate in the garage has more of a claim. Right, but don't get me wrong. Like, I agree with you. Obviously, Nicole is an artist. Yeah. Like, PCD is nothing without her as well. So, yes, she has power here because they literally couldn't do anything without her. Yeah. Yeah.
00:05:36 --> 00:06:04 But, you know, as we know, she's had a bit of a bumpy ride in terms of her trying to be a solo artist. Right. So maybe. So like, clearly you do also need the PCD brand to do a tour. Yes. At this scale. Yes. And it is Robin's vision that gets you there. So, like, I don't know. I just find this whole dynamic very interesting. Yeah. And the fact that it had to go to a lawsuit is insane. But yeah, let's see. Let's hear about how Nicole responded.
00:06:04 --> 00:06:27 So Nicole's camp responded rather quickly, claiming that everything that Robin said was ludicrous and false. And then in August 2022, Nicole filed her own countersuit. And Nicole's version of events was very different. Her filing alleged that Robin had approached her about a reunion back in 2017, but no firm agreements had been reached at that point.
00:06:27 --> 00:06:55 So Nicole claimed that Robin then went to Live Nation and negotiated this $600 advance by representing that Nicole had already committed to participate, which she said she had not yet. Jesus. So Nicole's countersuit then accused Robin of mismanagement, self-dealing, and fraud, and claimed that Robin wasted their reunion tour funding, damaged the Pussycat Doll's goodwill, and had never accounted for how that $600 was spent.
00:06:55 --> 00:07:07 And Nicole also claimed that she had personally spent 100k of her own money on PCD promotional appearances and recording of the song react and had never received any advance herself.
00:07:08 --> 00:07:37 And then, to make it even more messy, in the course of the legal filings, the actual financial breakdown of what the other members were set to earn from the tour also became public record. So Nicole was set to receive 32.5% from the tour. Robin, members Jessica, Ashley, and Kimberly were each set to receive 12.5%. And then Carmit, founding member Carmit, was set to receive only 5% due to her having departed before the second album.
00:07:38 --> 00:08:01 Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That doesn't make any sense. Cut it all. Because we all know it was, I sang all the songs. Like, that's what she said. I sang all the songs. That's what she said. So it's like, if money, when money's involved, let's get back to what we were talking about with the 6 and where it is. If money is involved.
00:08:02 --> 00:08:23 I can understand Nicole being like, listen, you're a little irresponsible because what the heck happened? Like, I need a trail. It's a little, it's giving fish-migish. It's giving fishy-migishy. But yeah, so I mean, also, Nicole earning the lion's share makes sense. Robin's pulling that whole seventh member Lou Pearlman thing. Like, okay, whatever. Yeah.
00:08:24 --> 00:08:54 Whatever. And then car meet. That is crazy. Because for me, 5% is crazy. Like the Pussycat Dolls do not work without a set. Two is pushing it. Three is okay. But people are used to the whole girl gang aesthetic. And having car meet or all the girls, period, at an equal amount makes sense. Because let's be real here. She kept saying, I sang all the parts. And if they're all just lipping your voice, what they all have been doing. Because you monopolized the vocals.
00:08:54 --> 00:09:10 sorry Miss Nicole but if you novelize the vocals and she's doing most all the work too and adding to the power and the quote unquote goodwill then she should get a fair share like it doesn't make any sense okay well yeah
00:09:10 --> 00:09:37 Carmine should at least get the same as the other members. At this point, it doesn't matter that she left before the second album. They've all committed to something moving forward. Yes. And it's not like she's going to go off stage when they perform When I Grow Up and the other songs from Doll Domination. She was going to do the same amount of work that all the other members were going to do. So I find that wild. It doesn't make sense at all. They were giving her less than half of what the other members were making.
00:09:37 --> 00:09:51 Not even 6.25%. Like it's 5% compared to their 12.5%. Yeah. No, it's not good guys. Yeah. In terms of, again, now that we know a bit more from Nicole's side, I,
00:09:52 --> 00:10:15 feel like robin maybe just has terrible communication or like they just needed a separate business manager to just like manage the two like why is there no like other party that's actually like accounting for all of this on behalf of everything like as pcd worldwide do you know what i mean money that's my that's my thing well yeah like they don't want to pay for another person yeah
00:10:16 --> 00:10:33 Because it doesn't make sense to me either. It's a little strange. Especially if you know you don't have good chemistry in terms of working together. With business wise. Like creatively. I have ideas for Pussycat Dolls. Me too girl. But like when it comes to contracts and money. Just pay someone else. Let them be the objective party. That can help.
00:10:33 --> 00:10:58 delegate and navigate and all the gates yes yes and then yeah again back to the communication thing like why would robin not just say like look i know we're still like discussing this but i need to go to live nation to see if we can actually get this going from like a funding perspective so just so you know i'm going to live nation to talk to them yeah why all that's all you literally needed to say
00:10:59 --> 00:11:25 And then if they literally came back and were like, we're not willing to commit until Nicole says yes, then just tell Nicole that and be like, hey, they're willing to give us a 600K advance. Yeah. Are you in or not? Yes. You know what I mean? I don't get how that is so messy. Anyway, at the end of the day, though, after all of this, just justice for Karmite. Oh, my God. Yes. That's why I'm ginger today, y'all. Karmite, I see you, girl. Yeah.
00:11:26 --> 00:11:44 But yeah, I just feel like for me it's kind of funky because especially with React, right? The whole I put my own money forward and things like that. It's the whole I did all the work thing again. I don't know what it is. I guess you can be excited, but you've got to do it the right way. Like you could have crowdfunded at that point because people love the Pizzicat doll so much. There's so much you could have done.
00:11:44 --> 00:12:09 At this point, like, I just don't understand because now you're putting that stress on you. And if you did pay all that money, it doesn't make sense to me because it's like, according to Jessica, during an interview, the girls were told that they have an opportunity to sing Lees with the new comeback and things like that. But then while they were in London before the X Factor performance, she's like, girls, dolls, please listen to this. And she said, I got a new song. And then he made me go, what do we got? Girl, what?
00:12:10 --> 00:12:40 Yeah, she did the whole thing on her own. Well, that too, right? Because it's not just Robin being a bad communicator. Why would Nicole on her end be like, hey, let's get a new song ready. Yes. I'm going to the studio with these people. Front the studio time. Yeah. Front the producer costs. Yes. Like we need costumes for the X Factor performance and all these promo performances we're doing, you know, across Europe and Australia. Front the money for the thing. Are you the business person in charge of PCD Worldwide? Like, again, how do people not talk about this?
00:12:40 --> 00:12:57 I don't know I don't know I don't know But then again I am also embroiled in my own Kind of just confusing Like what's happening thing myself I'm like why is no one asking me But it's cool Okay well so For us for example I feel like we're very very clear Oh yeah we are
00:12:57 --> 00:13:20 about everything that's going on to do with the show. And we make sure each other knows what we're doing. Yeah, literally. Oh, I didn't finish this. Oh, I did finish this. Oh, we're ahead of schedule. Or I paid for this. You paid for this. Let's write it down. Yes. Huh? But like I said, like some people don't do that. Like I'm actually in a situation myself where people are not communicating well. So when I'm stepping into the room, I'm just like...
00:13:20 --> 00:13:48 I'm not angry, but don't expect me to be like, oh, yeah, I'm going to like, you know, cake for this cause right now because I don't know what's happening. So I can understand why the girls are even Jessica was like, I kind of had to pull out, you know what I'm saying? With the reacting. We'll talk about that later. But like, there's a lot of just weird, like, could have been an email. Could have been a Zoom. Could have been a text. Could have been anything. Could have been a text. Yes. Have someone else write it. Have someone else write it and be like, can you send out a press send for me, girl? I'm scared. Like, I don't just do it, though.
00:13:48 --> 00:14:12 It's messy, but we will move along, y'all. The case then dragged through the courts for several more years. And in November 2024, the two sides reached a tentative settlement. But after more back and forth and back and forth, both lawsuits were dismissed in October 2025. And the terms were described as confidential, you know, confidential settlement. So I guess that was it.
00:14:13 --> 00:14:40 Uh-huh. So while all of that legal drama was playing out, let's check in on where all the members ended up. What were they up to? Okay, let's start with Nicole. Okay. She was cast as Norma Desmond in a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Sunset Boulevard, directed by Jamie Lloyd, which started in London's West End. And the critical response was extraordinary. And Nicole, of course, won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor.
00:14:40 --> 00:15:04 actress and the production then transferred to broadway in 2024 and in 2025 nicole won best leading actress in the musical at the 78th tony awards that's so cool you know i saw her perform in sunset and she's so talented i i got asked to cover so we did um and i will never say she's not talented i sat there watching that girl i was sitting like right underneath her i was like
00:15:05 --> 00:15:33 She's so good. Like, again, I was there. I watched. I followed. When she went to X Factor, I went to X Factor. I didn't know what the hell was going on. I was just there. But then I didn't watch the whole thing. But I just liked that she was there. Watching YouTube. Reposting Tumblr posts about her. She was and is amazing. Right? So, I mean, it's like, wow. I'm happy that she explored that. Because a clip of her singing, I think, was it the song from Family of the Opera?
00:15:33 --> 00:16:00 her playing Christine was like kind of floating around a little bit in between her like doing like stage performances. So I was like, oh, yes, she got a she has a role. And I love Sunset Boulevard. I think they did a really good job. Oh, yeah. I'm not going to talk about the choreography because I'd rather just like just move past it. But we can go to a whole thing about Sunset Boulevard, honestly, guys. But yeah, I enjoyed her. I think she did a great job. The show was good. I'm trying to figure out.
00:16:01 --> 00:16:30 if she and her co-star had chemistry though but that's just me i don't he was actually kind of hot i don't remember his name i thought their chemistry kind of worked it was it was okay i think she's just so like she's so hot that's the thing she's just so hot that her playing like a desperate starlet was like it took me a second to kind of tap into that but the more i watch she just completely immersed herself in the role like she gives me like typical theater camera like they're
00:16:30 --> 00:16:57 not typical, but a stereotypical theater kid. Like, you know, where they're super talented, but like, you know, there might be rumors of them being mildly illiterate and being kind of jerks on set, you know? Like, and it's like, is it true? Is it not? But dang it, they're talented. So I feel like it's kind of one of those things where it's like, I don't think she was mean to her cast members. I don't think anything was like terrible. I like that they referenced the Pussycat Doll thing, like in the intermission. I thought that was cute. Um...
00:16:57 --> 00:17:19 But yeah, I think she definitely tore herself away from that whole, like, I'm a pop star trying to do theater. So I appreciated it, for sure. Yeah, well, I think she had done, like, Cats or something in the past, right? Like, she'd done some stuff before. Yeah. I don't remember. Something. She's done stuff before. Yeah. But yes, I also saw Sunset Boulevard twice. Yeah. And, yo...
00:17:19 --> 00:17:35 She was amazing. I also saw her quite a few times during this little era. I saw her Broadway Bears when she and the cast of Sunset Boulevard performed Buttons, which I thoroughly enjoyed. And a clip of that is on her socials if you want to see it. I also saw her perform at Carnegie Hall. Yes, you did, yes.
00:17:35 --> 00:17:58 which was amazing. Like she is so talented and she was, she had this whole kind of weird campy persona she was putting on for that show, which was a little bizarre, but it was very fun. So yes, I will always respect Nicole as an artist. Yeah. But yeah, so I'm excited for her that she got to do this at least. Yeah. She deserved all the accolades.
00:17:58 --> 00:18:28 Yes. Oh, I'm going on my own like work tour and I kind of am trying to figure out what city I can see. Then I really do want to see. So, yeah, I think she's a great performer. But moving right along to the other girls, we have Ashley and Kimberly, who became fixtures in British entertainment. Ashley was already co-hosting the Heart FM Breakfast Show. And during this period, she hosted the Real Dirty Dancing UK in 2022 and became a presenter for the Heart 2000s radio show of the same year.
00:18:28 --> 00:18:48 So she's been busy. Yes. And Kimberly competed on Dancing on Ice in 2022. And then she continued building her DJ career across the UK and Europe. And she does a show called Don't You Disco. And then in 2024, she joined Hits Radio to present on Sunday evening. So both Ashley and Kimberly are now UK radio presenters.
00:18:48 --> 00:19:04 Yes. And Carmine continued to release solo music during this period and had a cameo in the Apple TV Plus series, Palm Royale, in 2024. She also mentioned that she is currently working on a memoir. That's got to be interesting.
00:19:04 --> 00:19:26 I'm very excited to read the memoir. Let's go, Carmite. Come on, book signings, please. Yeah. I mean, look, for Ashley and Kimberly, Pussycat Dolls have always been bigger in the UK than kind of anywhere else for some reason. And I believe they both met their partners in the UK. So that's part of why they like relocated over there. I will say Ashley definitely did a good job
00:19:26 --> 00:19:54 keeping her profile up. I was seeing her everywhere. Even before this kind of first reunion. Yeah. You know? Yeah. She did a really good job keeping her profile up. And she's also going to be in that new Rebel Wilson movie, too. Oh, yes. That Grogert movie. Yeah. With, like, Mel C and Chaznay. That would be interesting. Oh, my gosh. I mean, it's so interesting how it's, like, all these Brit pop. And it's coming to America, right? Because, I mean, Rebels... I'm sure. Yeah. Rebels...
00:19:54 --> 00:20:20 identity here in America is pretty. Like, people know who she is. So I think it's going to be awesome. People are going to start, like, looking up things. Yeah. Which means you guys should watch our Pop 101 episodes and our reviews of all of these groups. Like, what are you doing? I'm like, hello. But, yeah, I think Kimberly's accent and Ashley's accent are iconic. I think it's so funny how they both have accents. I think it's so cute. It reminds me of Eve. Even Eve has an accent, but Eve's from Philly. So it's kind of like this cool, like...
00:20:20 --> 00:20:48 South Philly chick meets like British upper. I love it. I love when the girls are submerged, emerged. Like I have a new life. I'm so happy. I'm happy for them. It is tough working as a creative. Cause like, how are you pivoting? Your knees give out if you're a dancer, your back is bad. It's a whole bunch. Your voice can be, you know? So there's so many ways that you have to pivot as a creative person. So, you know, watching Kim on the ice skating show and the dancing shows and Ashley doing her,
00:20:48 --> 00:21:09 presenting and acting you know it's it's good that they were able to pivot so shout out to the uk for adopting the girls because i don't know if the u.s would have been as like here we have something for you to do i don't i don't know you know especially during that time early early odds kind of right of like 2000s like the early 2000s it was right
00:21:09 --> 00:21:39 When what? When all of us, like when Pussy Adels were like at their, like their strongest or peak, right? Like late 2000s? Late 2000s, right? But like think about how media was. It wasn't like, oh, you're an influencer and just hop on a red carpet or like you're, you're someone who wasn't like that. So it's like for them to go to the UK and have this whole career, I'm so happy because I hate hearing stories of like yesteryear, yesteryear girl groups and they're like, I work at a CVS now and like I'm trying to make ends meet. It's like, it breaks my heart. But yeah, I think it's interesting with Ashley because I'm
00:21:39 --> 00:21:56 She's revealed a lot in interviews about her losses and her career as a dancer and how she's been able to pivot a lot. And it's so interesting because I remember her name being like the angel doll and the way she talks about these experiences. She has a crap ton of grace and I'm trying to figure out if that's coming from...
00:21:56 --> 00:22:22 like being conditioned as like a creative just kind of take things on the chin or if she really just kind of just let it go for her piece either way both are fine both are fine um but a lot of people are just like hey girl if you got something to say you can say it you know blink twice um but i think just as a human being she's just showing a lot of grace a lot of them are showing grace i think they just don't like how the business was dealing around and like as a human being in a group you're like hey i want to sing a little bit more it just never happened i don't want to be here
00:22:22 --> 00:22:42 that's normal i just think that the dirty dealings is what's really turning some of the girls off so for kim and you know ashley to be graceful in all of this i do appreciate because this could have been a lot worse and i think ashley her speaking on the whole situation she says all smiles um carmine has been performing without the girls i think you saw her no no
00:22:43 --> 00:23:13 no i wish okay yeah i did watch clips yeah killing it at these like prides and stuff that she's doing yeah so shout out to her for doing a lot on these shows like she kept the pussy dolls alive for a lot of people she was like the only person performing and then you know the cold kind of was like oh i guess i can do it now in the past maybe like six seven years maybe and if you think about what 2020 2020 was like it's been six seven years right where she's like
00:23:13 --> 00:23:28 freaking US Open you know like she wasn't doing this oh yeah I wanted to go to that but the weather was terrible oh I'm sorry but yes I'm happy you know but I think I feel like Carmine has been excluded and I hate it I think she's been excluded and I hate it but I feel like she would have been perceived as a threat
00:23:29 --> 00:23:45 We'll get more into that dynamic soon. But I agree with you that Ashley and Kimberly, they've never been as vocal about, you know, their place in the group. Yeah. Quote unquote. But yeah, we'll get to that in a second. I do want to also comment on the accents, though. Ugh.
00:23:45 --> 00:24:01 Madonna's school. That's what I was going to say. It literally sounds like Madonna. It sounds a little bit like Britney, like doing work bitch and scream and shout. Like it's so funny because it's like certain words. They just sound very... Sorted. Sorted.
00:24:02 --> 00:24:17 eloquent than they talk and like every word is very carefully pronounced yes yeah it's so interesting the cadence has changed like i'm like where do these accents come from it's amazing we know obviously but it's like so like how did that get into your brain
00:24:17 --> 00:24:47 I mean, I have friends who change their accents depending on where they are, too. You know, like, I have a friend who now lives in Scotland. So she started off with an American accent. Yeah. Now she has certain words that sound Scottish. But then when we go to the UK, she'll also switch again and make some words sound kind of British. Oh, she's stimming. And then when we're in, like, Dubai, then it, like, completely switches. When she goes to, like, Dubai and Pakistan, then it, like, completely switches to, like, more of that type of accent. So she just kind of adapts. And I was like, okay, I guess this is just, like, normal.
00:24:47 --> 00:25:10 Oh, hang on. I think I do that when I'm angry. My sister is Jamaican. So sometimes I'll say, every day? And she's like, every day? I'm like, whatever. You know, my dad, like he's Southern. So some things, some words. Yeah, it changes up. It does happen. Yeah, it's weird. So I get it. But it's just so cute. Yeah, it's fun. I should go live in a different country. See what accent I had done.
00:25:10 --> 00:25:31 Oh, my gosh. Okay. Well, there's one member. Well, there's two we haven't mentioned, but let's talk about Jessica. So in 2021, Jessica received the shot. Yes. That we all know about and says she had a severe adverse reaction and that it has caused a chronic neurological condition. Oh.
00:25:31 --> 00:25:54 And any physical activity results in consequences the following day, so she can no longer dance the way that she used to. She then became the creative director of React 19, which is an organization providing support for people who identify as experiencing long-term adverse effects from the shot. And she became a public supporter of RFK Jr. during the 2024 presidential campaign...
00:25:55 --> 00:26:14 And aside from all that, she has also recently posted that she is creating more dance music on her own. Yes. Yeah. I mean, Jessica has had several number ones in the Billboard Club chart. So this is not even like she's... No, she did an amazing job. She did a great job trying to find her own way, for sure. Yes.
00:26:14 --> 00:26:30 In 2019, like I was mentioning earlier with the react situation when they're promoting all over London, her mic was off and she said that that was like a moment one time where she was like, I don't know if I can be doing this girl. Like she told me like, this is kind of like degrading. And I respect that. Like after a while, it's like we're grown adults.
00:26:31 --> 00:26:58 You're telling me you can't give me a harmony. You're telling me we can't get a musical director to be like, here, here, this is your note. This, you know. But she got to do. You guys should watch our pop one on one bit because I was going off about that. It was so funny. But then on stage, if her mic wasn't even on, then well, that's a problem. Yeah, it's not great. Yeah.
00:26:59 --> 00:27:24 Also, we're not a political show here, but I have seen a lot of fans. They don't feel that what she's done is right. And she has been quite vocal about being against a lot of a lot of the decisions currently being made by the administration. So I think she's actually shown that she's actually not on either side, really. Yeah.
00:27:24 --> 00:27:54 And she's still been very supportive of LGBTQ plus rights and everything. So I don't actually think it's totally fair that fans have fully dismissed her. I think her experience is likely very real, you know, with all the physical ailments that she's had. And it sucks. The way she's explained what's happened is terrible. And it sucks that she can't dance the way that she used to anymore. You know, she was a great performer. She's such a presence on stage.
00:27:54 --> 00:28:18 Yeah. Like, even from the very beginning. Yes. Yeah. I look at her all the time. That blue and white. Yes, she was so memorable. Oh, she was delicious. Yeah. I'm obsessed with her, too. Yeah. So I do want to give her some love here. Yeah. Because I don't think it's actually totally fair kind of how the fandom has treated her. Mm-hmm. And I do miss her in the group.
00:28:19 --> 00:28:44 Yeah, I know. It is it is difficult because of like we're not a political channel. But just speaking on social things, I think people are upset with her because there's so much happening in terms of the lesser people within the social classes that people are a little bit like, come on, girl, please. But for her, it's like this is for my health. So I see I see what you're saying. But I just want to address that before people get nasty because we've gotten some people getting a little nasty in our comments over something. Yeah.
00:28:44 --> 00:29:04 Not even related. Yeah. I mean, I'm also curious what she's going to do. It looked like she was in the studio with a Dave Aude a few days ago from this recording. Yeah. So I'm glad she's still embracing music. Absolutely. So I'm saying she'll keep that little sassy spirit alive. Which doll was she? Pin-up doll. Pin-up doll. Yes. She was the OG pin-up doll.
00:29:04 --> 00:29:33 Yes, I am excited for her. You know, she has something to like work on for herself. And that's really important because Fuss Guy dolls. Yeah, they're awesome. But now she has her own stuff to work on. It's exciting. So go ahead, pin up doll. Do your thing, girl. So we are going to wait to discuss Melody because she deserves her own discussion. But now let's also remind you of some more mess because this will become relevant very shortly. So while Nicole announced that the tour cancellation back in 2020,
00:29:33 --> 00:29:53 January 2022, via Instagram stories, Carmeet and Jessica put out a joint statement saying that they had found out the same time as the public. There was no phone call, no heads up, and they closed the statement with, We all had big dreams for this brand to expand, especially creating the music so all of our voices could be heard, which would be true female empowerment.
00:29:53 --> 00:30:15 yeah okay uh-huh oh lord again communication people yeah in every aspect of life it's so important like how could you not at least send a text yeah you know come on robin come on nicole like your actions affect other people yeah
00:30:15 --> 00:30:43 And I feel like throughout, as we discussed in our first Pop 101, these girls are treated so poorly throughout. And even I think Jessica said it in that interview that you've been mentioning. She was just like, we were cast members. We were employees. They did not treat us like true partners in this group. Yeah, Ashley said it too. But she was a little bit more like, Nicole's the lead singer. And he was like, that was it. I was like, oh my God, stop smiling.
00:30:44 --> 00:31:10 Like, it's just a respect thing. Yeah. This affects their lives, too. Yeah. You know? And yeah, for Carmine and Jessica, I appreciate the shade about the voices not being heard yet again. You know? I think it's important to say. It's the truth. I mean, because I'm sure I would also have said, like, going back, I'm like, I'm willing to go back. But please let me shine just a little bit more.
00:31:10 --> 00:31:40 Yeah, it goes back to the whole I sang all the things. It creates a really bad narrative against their brands as well, where it's like they weren't doing anything. Yeah. So no one should really be caping for them. And it's like, that's not really fair. Like, I don't think she, she may not have the same sentiment, or maybe she doesn't publicly state that. I don't freaking know. It's not my business. But the point is for this whole conversation is just like, after a while, it's like, stop the whole I did everything on my own. Because at this point, we're all grown women. We all have money. If we need like, what, $5 for our freaking studio tour,
00:31:40 --> 00:31:53 I don't know how much the time costs in the major world. I do. But the point is, it's a lot of money. I get it. But you tell me these girls can't sit there and just... We go for like one day? A couple hours? We just record?
00:31:54 --> 00:32:18 Is it really that difficult? Like, I mean, my album costs like, what, 10 grand around? Like all this stuff I put together. I know it costs a lot more. I do. But it's just kind of like, girl, please stop the whole I did it myself. I spent my money. I did. I, I, I, I, I. So that when things do hit the fan, it's like, well, I did all of it. When you don't have to burden, like carry this whole burden by yourself, especially vocally.
00:32:18 --> 00:32:25 These women are grown. They've gotten singing lessons. They've gotten better vocally. There's no excuse now. Yeah.
00:32:25 --> 00:32:55 Yeah. And also I was rewatching actually the X Factor reunion performance this morning. Yeah. Oh, that performance is so good. And like all five of them have so much presence together. Yeah. Like when all five of them are in that gang together. Yeah. Oh, it's so strong. And Carmine and Jessica have so much presence on stage. Yeah. So yeah, it does make me sad. But all right. Well, let's fast forward now to 2026. Dun, dun, dun.
00:32:55 --> 00:33:22 With the settlement reached and the legal dust settled, on March 12th, 2026, the Pussycat Dolls announced their return. So, the announcement came with a new single called Club Song, as well as details of a 53-date global tour called PCD Forever, framed around the 20th anniversary of the debut album PCD. And the tour kicks off in June 2026. And, oh yes...
00:33:22 --> 00:33:48 we should probably mention here that only three members are taking part. Nicole, Ashley, and Kimberly. Carmine, Jessica, and Melody are not taking part. Yeah. And didn't know about it. Yeah, no, it's not great. It's not great. Not great at all. So...
00:33:49 --> 00:34:02 I think it's interesting how 45 tours became 53 dates. I mean, what do we think that new, what do we think the new terms are? How much percentage do you think Nicole has? 65.
00:34:03 --> 00:34:22 You know what? That's probably not bad. Yeah, that's probably not bad at all. I'm serious. I think... In terms of how accurate. Yeah, yeah. Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh. I mean, do you think that she deserves that amount with the PCD Worldwide? Hmm...
00:34:24 --> 00:34:48 Yeah. Yeah. I think. Yeah, I'm not mad at that as a percentage. I think also I'm actually fine with her having like final approval on things because at the end of the day, she is the one that's the face of it. But I would hope that there's still a collaboration, good collaboration kind of between all the members. Right. Plus Robin, plus whatever other creative people are involved with the show. Mm hmm.
00:34:49 --> 00:35:09 even in some of these press interviews that we've been seeing, like they were asked about the tour and like the creative around it. And Nicole was like, I have so many ideas. I cannot wait to tell the girls about it. And I'm just like, okay, so they have no say, you know? Okay. So you and I have kind of joked about this before. Like we've been like, um, what have we said before we've said,
00:35:09 --> 00:35:23 if we were ever, like, in a dance, a crew, that we would be okay, like a singing group, right? We'd be okay with just singing, like, you know, some sub vocals hitting some oohs and aahs. Maybe the, yeah, girl, or, yeah, you know what it is. Like, you know, we're okay with that, right? Mm-hmm.
00:35:24 --> 00:35:41 I'm trying to figure out if it's coming from a place of, because we're dancers and we know what it's like to legit be in the back line sometimes just to fit in the big picture of a group. Because if you and I were vocalists, we were singing Boots Down.
00:35:41 --> 00:36:08 You know what I'm saying? Like, I can sing, but, like, I'm not going to be like, oh, yeah, make me lead singer. I'm going to hold this whole group down. Everyone's going to hear my voice. I don't, you know what I'm saying? I think maybe they're okay with it because it's like, I just want to perform. I loved being in this group. It felt really good. So, like, I don't think they're, like, doing anything bad. I don't know how to describe it, but they're not, like, what's it called? Being scabby, for lack of a better word, where it's like you're not having any solidarity with the other girls. I think it's one of those things where it's like,
00:36:08 --> 00:36:28 this is our last chance to do it. We're getting older. We're mothers. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, why not do it? So I, to their defense, I'm like, you know, I also want to see it selfishly. Sorry. I mean, do I have tickets? Yes. Come on now. I love the Busquette dolls. Yeah. Um,
00:36:28 --> 00:36:44 I think I agree with you. Like, for Ashley and Kimberly, like I said earlier, they've never been that vocal, especially compared to the other three, about kind of their place in the group. And...
00:36:44 --> 00:37:13 I think you're right. Like, they were primarily the dancers. And so they do still have that moment on stage, right? You still get that rush from, even if you're not a star at the front, you still get to perform. I think my thing with the other, I would at least want my vocals on the song, right? Which in this case, we did find a filtered version of Club Song
00:37:14 --> 00:37:38 They are there. You know, okay, they are. They are, but I really wish they would have just had like a bridge where it's like Kimberly and Ashley just speaking in British accents. Gonna go to the club. Club. Go to the club. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, something. Don't bring your boyfriend to the club. You know, to something. They could speak. Yeah. Well, they get those. They each get one line in the pre-chorus. So don't be jealous. That's Ashley, isn't it?
00:37:44 --> 00:38:13 That's like us calling CCTV and, like, you're talking for me the whole time. Just like, mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Like, that's what I'm thinking. Okay, look. I hope Ashley at least gets to sing played. Oh. On this tour. You know? They'll each get a full verse of beep. I don't give a f***. Keep looking at mine. I can take over Carmine and Melodies. Okay. Right? Not too sad. There's that three-part harmony in I Don't Need a Man. That Carmine and Jessica used to do. You think...
00:38:13 --> 00:38:43 And Melody. I'll tell you right now, I don't think they're doing like vocal production. I know, I know. Okay, okay. I'm the same as you, right? You were just saying, I would be happy to be a Lance Bass. Yeah. I mean, but hang on, but Lance is singing though. Hang on, let's... No, but that's what I'm saying. Right. Even though they weren't the star, they were still important to the vocal blend. So I'm happy to be there as long as my mic is on.
00:38:43 --> 00:39:12 This is true. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I'm so sorry. My bad. I swear. I'm just making sure because, guys, we've gotten a lot of views on our videos recently. People have opinions. I'll make sure to cover all the things. But, you know, you're right. Lance Bass. If I was a girl group member, Michelle, Kelly, I'm okay with being there, you know? I'm trying to think of someone else, too. Like, well, the girl group is absolutely like, oh, yeah. Even K-pop. Some members are just there because it's like, this is an opportunity.
00:39:13 --> 00:39:34 I'm with my seven years and I'm a see ya you know I'm gonna go into acting and then yeah look Ashley and Kimberly are amazing performers they have such good stage presence I am very excited to see a performance with just the three of them like I'm sure it'll still be good but it will def I do miss as I was saying Carmine and Jessica yeah there
00:39:34 --> 00:40:03 I, of course, understand why Melody is not taking part, and we'll talk about her. But just to talk about the tour before we get into the song a bit more, this tour seems very ambitious. It is. That's what I'm saying. 43 to 50 is crazy. Well, it's not even that. It's the venue size. They have never done a full headline tour in the U.S. Not even just arenas. They've never done a headline tour in the U.S. Oh, wait. Doll Domination. They've only ever opened in the U.S. It was Christina. They opened for...
00:40:04 --> 00:40:31 britney britney yeah which is when i saw them actually but they yes they've done arenas in the uk and australia and europe yeah but not here and they're doing an extensive tour here they are and i did just click around it right before we started filming this it's not selling great oh really not really do you think it's due in part to um the lack of bodies present because
00:40:31 --> 00:41:00 I think that's part of it, but I also don't think Pussycat Dolls has the same nostalgia in the U.S. Some of the artists like Hilary Duff, for example. She's had a big resurgence and is now selling out arenas. I don't think people have the same connection to Pussycat Dolls that they had with her, right? That's so crazy. But even in the U.K. and stuff, some of the dates are doing well, but some of them also aren't. So I feel like, yes, some of it is to do with the fact that there's only three of them.
00:41:02 --> 00:41:26 You know, I'm trying to think. Yeah, that's valid. Because I don't think, I mean, people like pussycat dolls, but like surface level, like buttons and don'tcha. Right? Like people who are going to this, no PCD doll domination up and down. These are people who are trying to, you know what I'm saying? Like if you want to go for the nostalgia, you're right. Oh, wow. Oh, my God.
00:41:26 --> 00:41:53 I just look at the New York date. Yeah, no. New York is not doing well. There's even two VIPs left. What the hell? He's like, oh, there's a couple VIPs left. More than a couple. Oh. He was like, no, it's not the number of shows. It's the size of the arena. You know what? Yeah. But maybe they just don't. It could be an ego thing, but maybe they feel like they don't want to do House of Blues or they don't want to do, what's it called? Where we saw Jade. The Paramount.
00:41:54 --> 00:42:17 Yeah, Brooklyn Paramount. Yeah. I mean, I think, yeah, big theaters kind of make more sense to me for them in the U.S. I mean, let's see how they promote it over the next few months. I'm actually going to the L.A. date, which is the Pride date. Yeah. And that makes sense. Yes. That makes sense for them to headline. And actually, they're headlining with Jade, which I'm very excited about. Yeah, it is.
00:42:17 --> 00:42:33 But yeah, I'm very curious how they're going to promote it over the next few months. I have seen ads and stuff on TV and things. So there is a marketing push there. But I don't know. Maybe look out for Groupon deals. Oh, stop it.
00:42:33 --> 00:42:53 And I wish I can go. I don't even know what the heck's happening in terms of my tour. Yeah. But maybe if I find a city that can settle in and actually buy a ticket for it, I will go. And we can report back to you and give you guys a full, comprehensive concert review. We've done it for Kylie. We've done it for Beyonce. So definitely check out our channel for that. And also, if you can get it this far, subscribe, y'all. We're almost out of the way.
00:42:53 --> 00:43:22 Okay? Yeah. 10K before May. I think we're going to get it. By the time this next week, I think we're going to be at 10K. If I'm wrong, cool, no problem. But still, it's right before May. 10K before May, y'all. And if you want to join us for more discussions, live chats, Patreon. Alright? Alright. So, move right along. Club song. We can talk about it. Y'all hope you see it. Club song. Club song. I think the song's okay. Like, it's catchy. It feels like they're old stuff, I guess, but it feels a bit filler-y.
00:43:22 --> 00:43:48 It's just not a moment. Like, React was a moment. Oh, my God. You know, like, when we all first heard React, it was like, I mean, I think everyone was like, okay, the other girls are not singing. But despite that, the actual song and the eventual music video. Yes. And the performance. It was like, dang. Yeah. Yeah. It was so cool. I feel like Club Song might be the only release, right? Because we don't want Nicole digging her purse again.
00:43:50 --> 00:44:19 I don't know. Depending on how these tickets go these next few months, they might need another reason to come back to the TV shows and stuff. You know what I mean? They do. They might need another promo push. They need one straight up club banger, not club song. Club song is cute. I like club song. I like the whole guitar thing. I think it's cute. I think it's fun. At this point, you should have more voices on it. I digress. K-pop is doing it. Get them to rap.
00:44:20 --> 00:44:48 I don't like that Ross being used to people who can't sing. But at this point, there is no... But they can actually sing. Ashley and Kimberly can sing. They can. But my point is, I'm just saying, if you don't want to share the vocals, at least something go, yeah, head step to the club. Yeah. We going to the club. Let's go, girls. Send them to the club, dolls. Then you dance, break it. Not random just space of... Give her what she was. The man has more lines than the girls, honey. Yeah.
00:44:50 --> 00:45:07 That's the producer, though. Like, no see, no shade. Oh, my God. You know, and don't get me started on this tired dance. Wasn't the one. Yeah. Stop trying to make TikTok dances. You guys are you guys.
00:45:08 --> 00:45:27 You girls are you girls. You are dancers. The fact that you're like stiff, stiff body roll. They can do so much more. They were wearing very tight clothing when they were doing that challenge. So I'm sure they'll give more on stage, right? No, no, no. It shouldn't be the choreography is my point. This should be. Oh, yeah. No. No.
00:45:28 --> 00:45:52 No, it could have been like, you know, give the girl a roll, roll, give me something. It wasn't giving. That's what upsets me the most because you're sitting there creating this whole campaign for club song to be the big push for this new tour. And it's like you said, you said it was an okay song. I think it's decent. I wanted a little bit more, but the dance isn't going to make people want to learn it. Right? Right.
00:45:52 --> 00:46:15 Like, do you want to see that? Even if they give us the body roll, it's not giving. No, I know. You know, even... Okay, guys, I'm so passionate. If you're like, why is she talking so strongly and fiercely and ferociously? I'm passionate about PCD, okay? I did a PCD cover, like, in October. Like, I am a fan. But yes, I...
00:46:15 --> 00:46:38 I really do wish that they could release another single and have that be the big push. We got a music video. Like, y'all, even if it's just them, like, giving me runway walks down a, you know, a catwalk, just give me something. Oh, no, if there's a music video, we need a full routine. This is true. But I'm just saying, at this point, with the little stiff dance there, I feel like maybe they just doing what they can do right now. I don't know. But...
00:46:38 --> 00:47:02 Right. I know those that challenge looks bad. They're not even together when they're doing like the little like whipping situation. And that's the thing. It doesn't look cohesive. You already have only three of you girlies. Love you, girls. Love the three of y'all. Talented girl, beautiful gowns. But now because you don't have that fourth of the group, it's not giving. Yeah.
00:47:02 --> 00:47:31 You know, like, and then when Robin was doing it, and she did with the dancers, everyone just, it just, it was just very like, we need something for social media. Nah. I was a little annoyed. Yeah. Sorry, guys. I'm a little annoyed by that. I still like them. I will still try to figure out how to see them. Maybe buy a T-shirt if it has the PCD logo on it. But yeah. Got it. Ooh, what if they bring back hoodies with the don't you on it? I need them to bring back the hoodies that said don't you.
00:47:32 --> 00:47:48 Yeah. If y'all don't do that, huge ball drop. You already don't have two other members. Don't mess up the merch, at least. At least. Yeah. At least. Yeah. Alright, guys. So...
00:47:48 --> 00:48:16 The announcement went out. Club song is out. Tickets are on sale. And then members who weren't invited started talking. So Karmeet posted a statement on Instagram noting that she learned about the reunion tour at the same time that we all did. She closed with, while this is disappointing on a personal level, I remain proud of the role I played in helping shape what the Pussycat Dolls became. And it's true. She's been there from the beginning, right? So...
00:48:16 --> 00:48:39 And Jessica also spoke out during an appearance on a podcast, and she said that she was not given a heads up and was blindsided by the announcement. And she did say she received a call from Nicole the day the announcement was made to the public, but she did not pick it up. She called the reunion a cash grab, and she does think she wasn't invited due to her alignment with RFD Jr. and the MAGA movement. Um...
00:48:39 --> 00:48:52 But she did mention in the later Instagram post that she would not have been able to return anyway due to the ongoing health issues. But again, she does wish she was at least given a heads up so she could prepare for the response at least.
00:48:52 --> 00:49:20 Yeah. Yeah. And during an appearance on the today show, Nicole, Ashley and Kimberly were asked directly about the statements made by Kermit and Jessica. And in a viral moment, Nicole froze and Kimberly had to step in and say that they needed to protect, protect their peace. And Robin also posted on Instagram and the statement saying, we have nothing but respect for the women who have been part of the group's legacy. Once at all, always at all. Who knows what can happen next? Ain't that a lie. Um,
00:49:22 --> 00:49:48 Oh, no, man. Things are a little too funky. Yeah. And then in that interview that Jessica did, she specifically made fun of that line. Protect their peace. She was like, what peace? You the peace of the money? Jesus. And then she made a t-shirt with Nicole's quote. Yeah, she's so petty. I thought that was funny. Weird. So...
00:49:49 --> 00:49:58 As women today... Again. Mm-hmm. A text just out of respect... Yeah. ...would have been nice.
00:49:59 --> 00:50:26 Yeah. Would have been bad. I will say their PR treated the Today Show moment well. They embraced how messy that answer was. At least. Oh, yeah. What did they do? I missed it. I mean, they posted pretty much immediately after. And Nicole was like, I froze. I froze. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That's bad. I didn't just see that. I thought you meant like they made like a club remix or something. They would have made a club remix. Oh, my God. Because we were women. The next single should be called As Women Today.
00:50:26 --> 00:50:54 Ooh, yes. As women today, I feel like... We gotta protect our peace. Gotta protect our peace. I'm so crazy. Gotta protect our peace. Oh my god, so funny. That's so funny. Okay, y'all. Like I said before, I don't agree with a lot of stuff that is happening with our country.
00:50:56 --> 00:51:16 Jessica has made choices. I do not agree with. Yeah. But we're not going to get into it. Sorry, we're not the channel. But yes, going back to what we were saying about everything kind of like once adult, everyone's adult. I was like, oh, I mean, it's very sweet. It's very clean cut. I do appreciate that they're not being super messy because after a while, it's like, ladies, what are we doing?
00:51:16 --> 00:51:30 What were we doing? Yeah. Keep the peace at least. So it is unfortunate. Carmite has said like, you know, this is heartbreaking how things have happened. Jessica, same thing. But both of them have said like, the experience that they've had have been monumental in their lives. So I do...
00:51:31 --> 00:51:54 appreciate the grace and the honesty so i think everyone can agree we're all like okay even us we will not get off nicole's neck but we will never say that that neck does not produce good vocals okay that's right he gives good throat i've said it before on our take that episode yeah the the the song is in good throat or you said good lips but yeah
00:51:54 --> 00:52:04 She's amazing. She is. We're not crap talking because we hate her. We just crap talk because I was like, dang, this is all affordable issues. Exactly. Exactly.
00:52:06 --> 00:52:35 All right, so we talked about everyone else, but we did say you're going to save a moment for Melody. And if you listened to part one, you'll remember Melody's story well. She joined the group as a vocalist, was told by the label and the team to step back and just dance. She spent years being referred to internally as the weakest link. She developed panic attacks, underwent therapy, and then had that very public onstage moment during the Britney Spears tour where she told the Phoenix crowd...
00:52:35 --> 00:52:56 Thank you for supporting me, even though I'm not featured. And then when the 2019 reunion was announced, she was the only original member who did not take part. And I love her interview because she said, I'm a vocalist. I've never been a good dancer. And my voice is not on those records. So I don't have to be there. Shout out to her. Yes, that's right.
00:52:56 --> 00:53:18 All right, so since leaving Pussycat Dolls, Melody did release an EP in 2020, and then she played the role of Rachel in multiple UK and Ireland productions of The Bodyguard Musical. And then in 2022, she won the fourth season of the Australian version of The Masked Singer. Hey. Yay! Good for you, Melody.
00:53:18 --> 00:53:48 Melody. I've always liked her. I remember being obsessed with her, like, caged bird photo shoot for Dolls Domination. I was like, was it Dolls Domination? I can't remember. Right now. I'm sorry if I said the wrong thing. But the point is, I remember being in a cage and, like, saying to the microphone, I was like, whoa, she's so good. Whoa, she's so good. But, yeah, I've always liked her, obviously, because of representation purposes. And I'm saying it because I got in trouble. I got in trouble last time for saying it. You did. It was ridiculous. Not even trouble. But, you know.
00:53:48 --> 00:54:11 can't be can't be me and say you like black things and my point is um I looked at her and I was like holy crap this girl group was saying don't you wish I was hot and there's a girl that looks like me she's hot and I mean I was a kid at the time I didn't think about it but it's fun to say oh I'm the one with the ponytail or I'm the one that's hitting the big notes or things like that so it's so fun and then recently I was I was actually
00:54:11 --> 00:54:28 cast if you will as melody for a when i grow up um when i grow up cover and it's amazing because i was a dance captain so i got you girl yes as i cackle but yeah we posted it and she reposted me and i like messaged her she said something back and i'm like
00:54:29 --> 00:54:43 Good luck in everything you do. I love you. You know, I didn't want to sit there and go through this whole, how are you doing that? I would love to get her on the show. Just to talk about her music. And just to kind of have this whole, like, girl, people were saying your vocals were all over the place. She trained y'all.
00:54:43 --> 00:55:11 She sounds amazing now. She has served her own form of justice, honey. She's judged during executioner, honey. She's been slaying. But, you know, I honestly love that the UK has become this safe haven for our pop girlies. Like, there are so many pop performers. I went to a different country, and they showed me so much love, and I have so much success. And the UK is named a lot of the time. Not saying that their press is that right to their own acts. Yes.
00:55:11 --> 00:55:39 But I do appreciate she's been releasing her own music. She's performing on reality competition shows, like Pop Star to Opera Star. She's been out there. She's found her own justice. And I do wonder if she'd like to do Broadway. Probably. I mean, she could do Tina. She could do a bunch of shows, actually. But I just think of Tina, just to kind of have that moment where it's like, Tina was like a dancer, right? But like, she also was a vocalist. If she needs to hit a little doo-wop of, ah!
00:55:39 --> 00:56:01 All right. I would love to see that. Okay. Yes. But yeah, in her defense, y'all, she was like a young girl being told, hey, you could sing and then suddenly not singing. She had a lot to prove. And now she has nothing to prove to anyone, which I'm so happy for. Yes. Yeah. Yes, that's right. I think speaking of the bodyguard, I think she did it in China as well. In addition to the UK and Ireland, right? Yeah. Yeah.
00:56:02 --> 00:56:22 If you have not seen her performance of I Will Always Love You on that BBC, like, musical show, please go watch that. She has gotten so much better. The control. She's way more open. Yeah. Um...
00:56:23 --> 00:56:42 she was so good at like, there was so much emotion in it. And I was listening to some of the other stuff from the soundtrack too. Cause I think her version of like queen of the night has come out, like other stuff from that musical. So good. So yeah, I don't know. Let's hear her do those buttons ad libs. Now she would kill those. She, she should, she should do that.
00:56:44 --> 00:57:01 Honey. Okay. First of all, it would be a moment. Actually, it would be a moment. Cause who else is going to do it? Oh, well, oh yeah. I mean, even the last reunion when they did buttons, they just left that alone. They did not even try. Yeah. Say what you want. When she was on honey, the mic was on. Okay.
00:57:01 --> 00:57:16 Yes, it was. Shout out to her. And she was holding on a lot of the harmonies. Carmite, Melody, Nicole were always supposed to be the vocalists. The other three young ladies were considered dancers but developed. That's right. It was only when Carmite left that Jessica got to do a little bit.
00:57:16 --> 00:57:43 yeah yeah oh my god again watch our pop 101 guys we talked about this we could go into so much detail but we're not so go watch that for sure yeah um but yeah so we are recording this in march 2026 and the pcd forever tour kicks off in june the pussycat dolls are now a trio so what do we think is in store for them so let's we left the conversation of you should have been put this together so let's talk about what's going to happen what's going to happen going forward excuse me
00:57:43 --> 00:58:10 Yeah. Look, I hope Karmite gets a lot more gigs. I hope she gets to do more prides. I hope she gets to do club gigs. She is such a good performer. I hope she gets to release more music. Like, just justice for Karmite completely. I just want to say that. Like I said, I am going to the tour. So even after all this, I still love the Pussycat Dolls, but I'm excited to see the three of them perform. We know they put on a good show.
00:58:11 --> 00:58:39 Right. Like, we watched a Doll Domination tour together. Yeah. Was it kind of messy in terms of, like, the sequencing and stuff? Yes. However, they still performed the crap out of it. The actual performances themselves, they killed those. So I have no doubt that this show is going to be really good. Mm-hmm. I do hope, though, that Kimberly and Ashley get at least a moment each to shine on their own because they deserve it. Yes. Yes.
00:58:40 --> 00:58:53 Them getting to at least pre-record some extra backing vocals so that the Don't Show vocals are not just Nicole. Would be nice. And CeeLo. I'm joking. And CeeLo. Exactly. Um...
00:58:53 --> 00:59:22 I don't see that happening, unfortunately, but that would be my hope. And I agree with you. I hope we get a couple more songs as well. And I'm very curious if, you know, like that Desti's Child Survivor tour that we watched where Beyonce got like a 20-minute solo section. I do wonder if Nicole will put that in there. I'm going to say it again. I'm going to say it again like I said on the Pop 101. The whole album is your solo song. Why do you need a solo song?
00:59:23 --> 00:59:40 Well, she actually has solo material now, right? She does, yes. Like, imagine we'd get, like, a whole don't hold your breath. She does with one look from Sunset Boulevard. I mean, I wouldn't be mad at that. No, I don't like any show tunes. Give me whatever you like. Give me that. Ew. Ew.
00:59:40 --> 01:00:09 it's terrible but I love it I love this song so much because I was legit like in school and they premiered it on 106 and Park and she was like oh yeah I have this rapper on it and blah blah blah and like ooh she was walking on hot stones even though they weren't hot I was a kid I was like oh my god that CGI is everything I love that song it invited my brain it's not great but like oh and then her name is the toe she's hot as a stone can you imagine hearing that in the arena laughing
