We flew from New York to London for our first-ever Mighty Hoopla, and Brockwell Park did NOT play around. This is our full Mighty Hoopla 2026 recap: two Americans taking on the UK's biggest pop festival for the very first time, breaking down the sets that wrecked us, the surprise guests nobody saw coming, and everything we'd do differently next year.

It was quite hot, especially the first day, but you know, London's usually quite gloomy. So to have the sun out was awesome. And I think the grounds were really easy to navigate. Um, the also just the way the park was as well. The stages were both, or I guess the, where the audience was, were both sloped up.

Yeah, so I think the actual setup was really well done. I will say the only thing that caused a little bit of stress for us was everyone lost phone reception. Oh. Especially midday, right? Like when it got super packed, everyone lost phone reception. So it was like, you were holding on to everyone. Like, you can't get lost!

You're not sure what kind of turnout you're going to get. But people turned out for her.

She hasn't, yeah, you know, she's kind of just independent now. So I think it was really awesome to see how grateful she was for all of that. And they're one of the groups that I have unfortunately never seen perform together. Oh, yeah. I luckily got to see Shaznay a couple years ago, do a solo set. And I have seen the Appleton sisters because they were guests for Mel C's 50th birthday last year.
