And I was surrounded by some very aggressive people. So we were, what was the term you used? We were like Portuguese sardines. Like literally everyone was pressed, like no space was given to anybody. And honestly, everyone just needed to take like time.

So I was really excited because it was the first time I got to see Dee Woods as part of Dandy Kane. Oh, wow. Seeing her. I'd seen her on Broadway. But yeah. So I was very excited for this lineup. But yeah, I think the set list was the strongest they've ever had. And the three of them, the chemistry, like, and just the way the show was put together, they were just in it.

And then, you know, so those like TV show, I didn't know they I didn't know they were real. I thought they were like the Cheetah Girls when I was a kid. I was just like, okay, yeah.

But yeah, I think in terms of watching who was performing, I don't want to say the best of the group was there because all of them could sing. Oh, yeah. Like when you rewatch the show, there was no duds in that group. Like there might be quiet personalities, but there's not any vocal duds. So I think in terms of who was up there, you may not care for the approach, but hon, you can't say that they didn't approach it. Okay. But yeah, I think seeing D-Wuzz, watching D-Wuzz is like watching like an older version of myself.

And I want you to take it. You know, she's very like that. And then you have Dre, who's, like, always been kind of like a sweetheart. Like a sassy. She's sassy when she performs. But she's always been kind of like, I'm just here to sing what's happening, you know?

It's so interesting because like during our Danny Cain review, my biggest complaint was like everyone's in their mix and they're like fighting for that. This didn't feel like that. It felt like they were trained. And then Aubrey, shout out to her. She made a lot of like really nice choices in terms of changing notes and like kind of just adding a different kind of vibe to the ad lib. Yeah.

And I appreciate the effort. Yes. No, she was. I was really happy for Aubrey. You know, she's always been, you know, the biggest supporter of Danny McCain and wanting it to kind of keep going. So, you know, as we know, she was the one who was.

But yeah, talking through the show, loved the hold me down intro acapella situation. I think the whole first act was so strong. The choreography was super tight. Yeah. Some really difficult movements, too, like pretty quick ones. Yeah.

We did get like about maybe 10 or so minutes in the second act with the white outfits with spoken, like, hey, this is where we've been. Aubrey pulled out a journal from the making the band days. Which I thought was awesome that she still had that. Dee Woods performed a song called Goal Mine and it reminded me of Jennifer Lewis. I loved it. And then J was like, y'all had a baby. Yeah.

During this specific section, Aubrey was giving a speech, a poem, whatever you want to say, about like just words of encouragement to the fans and to herself and to our bandmates. And it was running long days.

It's not just her trying to, like, hog up the space. Right. As she said, this is her first time being able to say almost, if not everything, without fear of retaliation. Um, he was speaking while she was speaking. It was just really just tacky. And if you are a Danny Cain fan, you're not actually. Yeah. You like the concept of them, but if you don't want to hear any of the members speak their truth, you're not really a fan. And it's okay to say that, but don't, don't be rude.

Yeah, and also there were fights breaking out around me. There was a lot of pushing just in general for no reason. Yep. Yep. A lot of, and then, you know, just general concert culture with the filming now. Like, the man in front of me was using both arms, holding up his phone, you know, as high as he possibly could. Yeah.

You know, playing for me. For me, I tried to just get like, you know, one or two good shots. Give me a chorus. Yes. And then for the memories. But the tough thing about this show is that they did what a lot of R&B shows do, which is like verse, chorus, a lot of medleys. Yeah, medleys. I was like, dang it, dang it. Yeah. So, yeah. I will say, want it. At least we got the bridge. Yeah.

Lights Out has rarely been performed in all these reunion shows. So love that song. Um, that whole act was very well done. It was rarely any breaks in it. It was like a very seamless transition. It did make a choice though. Yes.

So what did you think of that choice? First of all, I love the costume, the cape. Ooh, for bad girl? Yeah. Girl swish. Bag or swash. I was like, yes. And I was like, oh, Andrea's in a very big coat. I like this. And she used that instead. Yeah. Love that. I was like, ah.

But, again, if you're a fan and you haven't heard someone sing in I don't know how long, you shut the F up and you listen.
